What happens if my package is undeliverable?Updated 7 months ago

If your package is undeliverable, here’s what you can expect:

Amazon will automatically notify you if your package is undeliverable. The package is returned to them, and they’ll process your refund. To stay updated on any delivery changes, consider signing up for text message shipment updates. Visit this page for more information.

Refund times for undeliverable packages

You can expect a refund within 7 business days once the returned package is received. However, some issuing banks may take an additional 3-5 business days to process the refund. For more details, visit the Refunds Help page.

If Amazon has not issued your refund within the specified timeframe, please reach out to us through our Contact form for further assistance.

Reasons for undeliverable packages

A package can be marked as undeliverable for various reasons, such as:

  • The package sustains damage before or during transit.

  • The shipping address is incorrect, incomplete, or has delivery restrictions (e.g., correctional facility). You can update your addresses for future orders in Your Addresses.

  • The shipping label becomes unreadable during transit.

  • The carrier makes three unsuccessful delivery attempts.

  • The customer or recipient refuses to accept the package from the carrier.

We understand how frustrating undeliverable packages can be, and we're here to help resolve the issue as quickly as possible. If your package is undeliverable, you’ll be promptly notified, and Amazon will handle the return and refund process. If you have further questions or concerns, please contact Amazon Customer Service for assistance. If they’re unable to help, please reach out to us through our Contact form for further assistance.
